Jozef Kabaň

Jozef Kabaň

Škoda Auto Chief Designer Jozef Kabaň was born on 4 January 1973 in Námestov, Slovakia. During his studies at the Fine Arts University in Bratislava, he participated in a designers' competition for the Škoda brand, announced by the Volkswagen concern. His second place result led to a position directly in design at VW, where he worked until 2003. In 1997, Jozef Kabaň as a scholarship holder of Volkswagen AG earned the title Master of Art at the Royal College of Art in the field of vehicle design. In that same year, he was presented with the Giorgio Giugiaro Award for Design Innovation for study of a vehicle of the future. In 1999 he headed development of the design for the 1,000-horsepower Bugatti Veyron. Four years later, he moved to Audi, where he served as Chief Exterior Designer. Since February 2008 he has headed the Design Department at Škoda Auto.

Lukáš Nachtmann

Lukáš Nachtmann

Historian Lukáš Nachtmann is head of the Škoda Auto Archive. The archive develops scientific research activities in the fields of archiving, history and related fields. The materials that the archive gathers include written materials regarding the already completed development of products, including the design and marketing phases, and sales projects, including prospectuses, posters, etc., along with minutes of company meetings, minutes of meetings of the Supervisory Board and Board of Directors, personnel records and files on important managers. Maintaining of the materials in the archive is a scientific or popular scientific activity, and archive staff use them to help create an image of the company in a historical context.

Peter Olah

Peter Olah

Peter Olah focuses on industrial design, product design and interior design. He has a lot of experience cooperating with international companies, including Škoda Auto, VW, Audi, Ford, Gotive, Montblanc, DeltroMedics, Gebra, Davidoff and the Květná glassworks. These are just some of the companies that have represented his work in design for more than a decade. Besides design, he also focuses on architecture and projects. His designs have already won numerous international awards: including the ICSID Design Excellence Award, the Slovak National Prize for Design and the National Design Centres Award. He also continues to participate in exhibits worldwide, such as Design Week in Milan, 100 Design in London and the Ambient trade fair in Frankfurt, and he publishes in design and architecture magazines.

Petr Hrdlička

Petr Hrdlička

Petr Hrdlička is a leading Czech automobile designer and developer. His most famous work is the popular vehicle Škoda Favorit. He is the son of Ing. Karel Hrdlička, a key person in the automotive industry of inter-war Czechoslovakia, under whose management an average factory became a progressive and modern car maker.
